'Transformers' Star Joins Kristen Bell in 'Rome'
'When in Rome' roles for Josh Duhamel, Jon Heder, Dax Shepard and Anjelica Huston
The project was written by David Diamond and David Weissman and will be directed by Mark Steven Johnson, with production starting in New York City and Rome shortly.
Bell plays Beth, one of those Manhattan single gals you always see in the movies. Yes, she's smart and beautiful and successful in the real estate business, but she just can't find love, which means she's miserable and unsatisfied with her life. Everything changes when she goes to Rome for a wedding and scoops up some coins from a fountain of love, magically leading to a surplus of potential suiters.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Duhamel will play the film's romantic lead, while Heder and Shepard will play two of the suitors. Heder's character is a street magician and Shepard's an aspiring model.
Meanwhile, Huston will play Bell's character's boss, a curator at the Guggenheim.
Duhamel stars on NBC's "Las Vegas" and had one of the leads in last summer's smash "Transformers."
Best known for "Napoleon Dynamite" and "Blades of Glory," Heder might have most recently been seen in "Moving McAllister" and "Mama's Boy," if anybody had seen those movies.
One of the stars of "Let's Go to Prison," "Idiocracy" and "Zathura," Shepard has upcoming appearances in "Baby Mama" and "Old Dogs."
Huston won an Oscar for "Prizzi's Honor" and recently finished a guest stint on NBC's "Medium."
