Isla Fisher Confesses To Being a 'Shopaholic'
Jerry Bruckheimer is producing the comedy
Set up at Touchstone, the film is based on the novels by Sophie Kinsella (pen name for Madeleine Wickham) and will be directed by P.J. Hogan. Not necessarily known for his golden touch with distaff films ("Coyote Ugly" anyone?), Jerry Bruckheimer will produce, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Adapted by Tim Firth, the comedy focuses on a debt-laden compulsive shopper who somehow becomes a financial advice columnist.
Production will begin in January.
Fisher was most recently seen (by a few people at least) in the comedy "Hot Rod" and the thriller "The Lookout." She has "Definitely, Maybe" ready for release next year.
