Comic auteur-turned-filmmaker may direct "Buck Rogers' flick

"The Spirit" isn't even out yet, and already director Frank Miller is looking for his next cinematic endeavor. This time, it could include sci-fi superhero Buck Rogers, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

While debating on another "Sin City" sequel, Miller and Odd Lot Entertainment, the creator and production company behind "The Spirit" are close to pairing up again to do a darker rendition of the space adventurer who wakes up centuries later to find the world destroyed.

Buck Rogers, which began as a comic serial in the 1920s, has been done numerous times for the little screen and even once for the big screen (a cult classic with Timothy Dalton), but rest assured with Miller on board to write and direct the yet untitled and unowned big-screen take, fans can expect savvy signature artistry and themes like...two guesses, and the first one doesn't count...you got it, redemption and corruption.

Miller's work not only includes writing and illustrating "Sin City," and "The Spirit," but he also had a hand in "300".
