Goyer Shoots for Green Arrow Flick
'Super Max' would feature oodles of veteran DC Comics bad guys
The news of the intended project first broke over the weekend on the WizardUniverse website, which meant that the industry trade papers were only getting around to covering the story on Tuesday.
Titled "Super Max," the project is based on an original idea by Justin Marks, who will co-write with Goyer. The premise is that Green Arrow is wrongfully incarcerated in a maximum security prison full of villains he originally put away.
Think "Arkham Asylum," only with Green Arrow characters.
The project is set up at Warner Bros.
Goyer's next film is the writing-directing effort "The Invisible," set for release at the end of the month. In February he announced that he was no longer involved with writing and directing "The Flash," though his superhero credentials remain in place thanks to writing credits on "Batman Begins" and the "Blade" films. He's most recently worked on Doug Liman's "Jumper" and he's expected to have a hand in writing the upcoming Dimension remake of "Scanners."
