Jason Segel, Emily Blunt May Book 'Gulliver's Travels'
Would co-star alongside Jack Black in title role
Emily Blunt has been made an offer to co-star in Jack Black's version of Jonathan Swift's classic satire, and Jason Segel is in talks to join both, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Blunt would play a princess of Lilliput, an island where inhabitants are tiny compared to Gulliver; Segel is slated to be her Lilliputian suitor and friend to Gulliver.
Swift's 1726 work poked fun at then-modern society through the adventures of Lemuel Gulliver across a series of bizarrely populated islands.
Segel, 28, next graces theaters March 20 in "I Love You, Man" and stars on television's "How I Met Your Mother." Blunt, 24, can be seen March 13 in "Sunshine Cleaning," and is in talks to take up the role of the Black Widow in "Iron Man 2."
