The young actor was heading back to his Los Angeles area home at 2:10 a.m. Thursday (July 20) when he apparently lost control of his vehicle, report news sources.
Osment, who was alone in the 1995 Saturn, collided with a brick pillar on Flintridge Avenue, just east of Chevy Chase Drive and flipped. Following the crash, he was apparently alert and able to talk when he was taken to Huntington Hospital in Pasadena.
"Haley Joel Osment wants everyone to know he will be OK," says Dr. Paul Gilbert in a news conference. The actor has some cuts and abrasions, a fractured rib and possible fracture of the scapula.

Osment lives with his family in La Canada Flintridge, about 14 miles from downtown Los Angeles. He attended a prep school there where he was a straight-A student.
The young actor best known for "The Sixth Sense" also starred in "Pay It Forward," "Artificial Intelligence: AI" and "Secondhand Lions." He's also been busy with numerous voice over projects, including FOX's "Family Guy," "The Country Bears," "The Hunchback of Notre Dame II" and "The Jungle Book 2."
Osment's upcoming film is "Home of the Giants," in which he plays Robert "Gar" Garland, a high school journalist covering the basketball team on its way to the state championships. He's torn when he discovers that his hoopster pal has been asked to throw a big game. A release date has yet to be announced.
