Who had "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" in the office pool?

Paramount Pictures used Sunday's (Sept. 9) MTV Video Music Awards as the venue to announce the official title of the upcoming fourth Indiana Jones adventure.

New franchise co-star Shia LaBeouf took the stage at the Las Vegas event and told the audience that the previously untitled "Indiana Jones IV" will actually go into theaters as "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull."

So that's one mystery solved. The next puzzle? What's the darned thing about?

In addition to LaBeouf, "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" will welcome Cate Blanchett, Ray Winstone and John Hurt to the Indiana Jones clan, along with returning star Harrison Ford and the triumphant and long-time-coming return of Karen Allen.

Steven Spielberg returns as director and George Lucas is back as executive producer.

Paramount will release "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" around the world on May 22, 2008.

The three films in the franchise -- 1981's "Raiders of the Lost Ark," 1984's "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" and 1989's "Last Crusade" -- have taken in just under $1.2 billion worldwide.
