Jon Hamm will 'Howl'
'Mad Men' star to join Allen Ginsberg movie
Hamm has signed on to play defense lawyer Jake Ehrlich in the Allen Ginsberg biopic "Howl," according to Variety. The movie follows Ginsberg's 1957 obscenity trial, based on phrases in his 1955 poem "Howl." The charges were actually leveled against the poem's publisher, and his resulting win (with Ehrlich's representation) helped bolster the free speech movement.
Hamm, 38, recently completed a guest run on "30 Rock" and graced the big screen in 2008's "The Day the Earth Stood Still" remake.
