Jonas Brothers Follow 'Farting Dog' to Big Screen
Nick, Joe and Kevin and Frankie Jonas set for 'Walter the Farting Dog'
According to Variety, the TV and recording sensations will make their feature starring debuts in "Walter the Farting Dog," based on the play by William Shakespeare.
No, we kid. "Walter the Farting Dog" is, of course, actually based on the bestselling books by William Kotzwinkle and Glenn Murray.
Peter and Bobby Farrelly are expected to produce the family comedy and possibly even direct the Alec Sokolow and Joel Cohen scripted project.
In addition to featuring the three core Jonas Brothers -- Nick, Joe and Kevin -- "Walter the Farting Dog" would also star younger brother Frankie.
In a stretch, the Jonas Brothers would play a group of musicians asked to care for the eponymous gassy dog after the death of a beloved aunt. The trade paper explains that only the youngest brother (played by Frankie) is entirely immune to the smells coming from their new pooch, thanks to a fortuitous sinus infection. While the "Camp Rock" favorites are making music, the unsmelling brother and his new best friend have an adventure involving jewel thieves.
Hilarity and farting ensue.
Production on "Walter the Farting Dog" is expected to begin next spring.
