Ashley Judd Believes in the 'Tooth Fairy'
Dwayne Johnson stars in the family comedy
Set to begin production in Vancouver in October, "Tooth Fairy" stars Johnson as a minor league hockey player nicknamed "The Tooth Fairy." In some way, the character is recruited to help save the tooth fairy kingdom.
Judd will play his girlfriend, a single mom with two kids, according to Variety.
Michael Lembeck, the man behind the second and third films in the "Santa Clause" franchise, will direct from a script by Lowell Ganz and Babaloo Mandel, plus Joshua Sternin and Jeffrey Ventimilia.
Judd will next be seen as part of the ensemble of the border drama "Crossing Over," set for a late October release. She was last seen in 2006's "Bug" and "Come Early Morning," though it's possible that some viewers haven't seen her since 2002's "Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood."
