Will star in Guillermo del Toro chiller

Can Guillermo del Toro scare a woman whose husband jumps on couches?

We'll see. Katie Holmes will star for del Toro in "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark," according to Variety.

The story, based on a 1973 ABC TV movie, follows a girl who movies in with her father and his girlfriend (presumably Holmes) only to learn they share the house with some nasty monsters. Trust us when we say it didn't end well.

Del Toro is currently working on " The Hobbit," but will shoot "Dark" this summer. Holmes was last seen in 2008's "Mad Money."
