Oscar winner will certainly produce, possibly star
In addition to producing through her busy Blossom Films shingle, Kidman may also take one of the starring roles, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The 1953 original featured Marilyn Monroe, Betty Grable and Lauren Bacall as a trio of models who set a goal of marrying for money. When they find themselves accidentally falling for less wealthy men, they have to make a choice.
An Oscar nominee for its costumes, "Millionaire" was filmed in CinemaScore and was one of the films that helped cement Monroe's stardom.
Kidman was married to Tom Cruise and is currently wed to Kieth Urban. Both men are, indeed, millionaires.
It's hard to know how far down Kidman's list this project is. Currently shooting the epic "Australia" for Baz Luhrmann, the Oscar winner has "The Invasion," "Margot at the Wedding" and "The Golden Compass" set for release later this year. In addition, Kidman's Blossom banner has at least three additional projects set up at Fox including "The Bachelorette Party."
