Lisa Kudrow joins Emma Roberts and Don Cheadle

Lisa Kudrow has been added to the cast of DreamWorks' "Hotel for Dogs," joining Emma Roberts and Don Cheadle in the project.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Johnny Simmons will also appear in the Thor Freudenthal-directed "live-action canine caper" (the trade paper's words).

Based on the 1971 Lois Duncan novel, the project focuses on a pair of orphaned teens who turn an abandoned hotel into a shelter for stray dogs.

Roberts will play one of the teens, with Kudrow appearing as a foster parent to the siblings. Simmons will play Kudrow's love interest.

Simmons was most recently seen in "Evan Almighty." He has "Will Eisner's The Spirit" and "Boogieman 2" on tap.

Kudrow, meanwhile, has "P.S., I Love You" and "Kabluey" set for release. The "Friends" Emmy winner was most recently seen on HBO's "The Comeback."
