Leung and Wei will star for Oscar-winning director

Fresh off his "Brokeback Mountain" Oscar, Ang Lee has found the leads for his new film.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, veteran Tony Leung and newcomer Tang Wei will star in "Lust, Caution," a World War II spy thriller.

Based on a short story be Eileen Chang, the plot involves a Chinese politician (Leung) and his involvement with a woman (Tang). Things eventually turn to assassination and espionage.

The trade paper also reports that Wang Lee Hom, a Chinese pop star and actor, will play a man in love with Tang's character.

Focus Features, which also handled "Brokeback," is producing, with the company's CEO James Schamus executive producing.

Credits for Leung, one of the most decorated of Hong Kong stars, include "2046," "Hero," "Infernal Affairs" and "Chungking Express."
