Michael Cuesta will direct

Josh Lucas has signed on to star in the Edgar Allan Poe-based "Tell-Tale."

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dave Callaham's liberal adaptation focuses on a single dad who follows his newly transplanted heart on a crusade to find the man who killed the donor.

Michael Cuesta ("Dexter") will direct for Scott Free Productions and producers Ridley Scott, Michael Costigan and Tony Scott. Martin Shore and Christopher Tuffin will produce for Social Capital Films.

Lucas has kept a lower profile since his star turns in "Glory Road" and "Poseidon." The "Stealth" and "Hulk" star has completed work on "Death in Love" and "Boy in the Box."
