Pierce Brosnan, Uma Thurman lord over 'Percy Jackson'
Pair will play Greek gods for young-adult adventure
Good gods: Pierce Brosnan and Uma Thurman will go Greek.Brosnan and Thurman have been cast as Chiron and Medusa, respectively, in Fox 2000's adaptation of the "Percy Jackson" young-adult novels, according to Variety. The story follows young Percy (Logan Lerman), who must return Zeus' (Sean Bean) stolen thunderbolt. Bean and Brosnan worked together, albeit as rival spies, in 1995's James Bond movie "GoldenEye."
For those who skipped literature class in college: Chiron was the leader of the half-horse, half-human centaurs, and Medusa was a snake-haired Gorgon whose gaze could turn mortals to stone.
Brosnan, 55, co-starred (and sang!) in 2008's "Mamma Mia!" Thurman, 38, starred in last year's "The Life Before Her Eyes."
