Pierce Brosnan Investigated for Assault
007 actor allegedly struck a photographer
The actor allegedly assaulted a man in Malibu, Calif., last week, reports TMZ.com.
According to reports, photographer Robert Rosen was snapping pictures of Brosnan and his kids outside Casa Escobar on Friday, Oct. 26 in a Malibu mall around 6:15 p.m. The actor became angry and said, "Why don't you get a real f**king job." Rosen tells the celebrity muckraking site that he then started complimenting Brosnan on playing Bond.
Later, the actor allegedly told Rosen, "Why don't you f**k off, mate," and then hit him in the ribs. The photographer then reportedly retaliated by kicking Brosnan in the stomach.
The L.A. County Sherriff's Department is investigating the incident, but no one was arrested or detained at the time.
Besides the Bond films, Brosnan, 54, has appeared in "Mrs. Doubtfire," "The Thomas Crown Affair," "After the Sunset," "The Matador" (for which he earned a Golden Globe nomination) and "Seraphim Falls." He next stars in "Married Life," about an adulterous 1940s man who plots to kill his wife instead of putting her through the shame of divorce. The actor recently wrapped shooting on the ABBA musical film adaptation "Mamma Mia!"
