'Office' Co-Star Wilson Is 'Unkillable'
He'll play the James Bond of subpoenas.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bob Odenkirk ("Mr. Show") will direct the film, which he co-wrote with B.J. Porter and Scott Aukerman.
The film apparently focuses on a dedicated civil servant whose commitment to serving subpoenas is beyond compare.
"It's a souped-up 'Pink Panther'-slash-'Ace Ventura' and overflowing with comic characters," Odenkirk gushes to the industry trade paper. "The appeal of Rainn is that Rainn can play a character who is absolutely sure of himself, who is full of bravado and braggadocio, and in the course of being that guy, he's hilarious and extremely sympathetic."
Wilson plays frequently maniacal cubicle denizen Dwight Schrute on NBC's widely adored "The Office." On the feature side, he's been seen in "My Super Ex-Girlfriend" and "Sahara" and he's set to write and star in "Bonzai Shadowhands" for director Jason Reitman.
