Chris Tucker Is 'Sinatra' Star
Brett Ratner would direct. Might Jackie Chan play Sinatra?
Tucker would play the Chairman of the Board in the New Line production. But seriously, we kid.
The project is based on the book by long-time Sinatra valet George Jacobs, a tell-all about his many years working with The Chairman and the rest of the Rat Pack.
According to Variety, William Stadiem, who co-wrote "Mr. S" with Jacobs, will adapt the name-dropping screenplay. Tucker apparently spent time with Jacobs this summer and is looking to play the main role.
It would be somewhat remarkable if Ratner were able to get Tucker to star in the film, considering that the actor hasn't appeared in a movie without the words "Rush Hour" in the title since 1997's "Jackie Brown," "Money Talks" and "The Fifth Element."
The trade paper offered no indications of where "Mr. S" might fit in with Ratner's slew of other production attachments including a Hugh Hefner biopic and a long-rumored heist picture with Eddie Murphy and Chris Rock.
