Will re-team with Summit Entertainment for romantic drama

"Twilight" star Robert Pattinson just can't get away from Summit Entertainment, producers of the vampire series.

Pattinson is close to signing for a lead role in Summit's romantic drama "Memoirs," according to Variety. The story follows a couple whose budding relationship is threatened by family issues. (Frankly, if Pattinson's sparkly vampire can make time with a human teen, a few family problems should be a piece of cake for Pattinson.)

"Damages" director Allen Coulter may slide behind the camera.

Pattinson, 22, will return to his blood-sucking ways Nov. 20 for "The Twilight Saga: New Moon." The film follows Edward's love for human teen Bella ( Kristen Stewart), complicated by her attraction to werewolf Jacob (Taylor Lautner).
