Julia Roberts, Clive Owen Get Closer Again
Stars will reunite for Tony Gilroy's 'Duplicity'
According to the industry trade papers, "Duplicity" is Tony Gilroy's writing and directing follow-up to this fall's critically acclaimed "Michael Clayton."
Roberts and Owen will play longtime lovers who work as rival corporate spies. They team up to stage a con to steal a valuable product.
Set up at Universal, "Duplicity" is on track to begin production next March, beating a potential industry strike.
Roberts makes her first on-screen appearance since 2004's "Closer" and "Ocean's Twelve" in this fall's "Charlie Wilson's War."
Owen hasn't been nearly as stingy with his on-screen presence. The "Children of Men" star has appeared in "Shoot 'Em Up" and "Elizabeth: The Golden Age" this fall. He's currently working on Tom Tykwer's "The International."
