Salma Hayek Gives Birth to Girl
It's the first child for the actress
The actress and her fiancee, Francois Henri Pinault, became the proud parents of a baby girl sometime in the last week, reports People.
"Mother and daughter are doing well," says Hayek's publicist Cari Ross in a statement. The couple named the girl Valentina Paloma Pinault.
One source claims that Hayek, 41, entered the hospital on Thursday, Sept. 20.
This is the first child for Hayek, whereas Pinault, 45, has two kids from a previous marriage.
Pinault is the CEO of PPR, a luxury good firm that own Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent, Stella McCartney, Balenciaga, a french department store and national music chain.
The couple has kept a fairly low profile since they announced their engagement in March. Previously, Hayek dated Edward Norton and Josh Lucas.
Hayek received an Oscar nomination for playing the titular role in 2002's "Frida." Her other credits include "Desperado," "Fools Rush In," "Wild Wild West," "After the Sunset," "Bandidas" and "Ask the Dust" (which won her Mr. Skin's top honors for best nude scene of 2006). She also recently starred opposite Jared Leto and John Travolta in the crime thriller "Lonely Hearts" and makes a cameo in "Across the Universe."
She's also a Golden Globe-winning producer on ABC's "Ugly Betty," for which she made guest appearances.
