Coppola Gives Birth to Baby Girl
Baby's name is Romy
The Oscar winner and her boyfriend Thomas Mars welcomed a baby girl into their family on Tuesday in Paris, report celebrity news sources.
The girl's name is Romy, the first child for Coppola.
Mars is a singer for the French band Phoenix. They met when he and the band Air recorded a song for her 1999 film "The Virgin Suicides." Coppola was previously married to director Spike Jonze ("Being John Malkovich") for four years before divorcing him in 2003.
Coppola, 35, won a best screenplay Oscar for 2003's "Lost in Translation," which she also directed. She's also part of the Hollywood Coppola clan and starred as Mary Corleone in her father Francis Ford Coppola's "The Godfather: Part III."
"Marie Antoinette," a feminist look at the French queen starring Kirsten Dunst, opened in mid-October to mixed reviews.
