'Tropic Thunder' star will produce and possibly star in Oni Press adaptation

Ben Stiller is expected to produce and possibly star in "The Return of King Doug," based on the upcoming graphic novel.

According to the industry trades, Greg Erb and Jason Oremland wrote the Oni Press comic and will also write the script, which focuses on a man who must return to the fantasy land he abandoned 30 years earlier.

Stiller, Stuart Cornfeld and Jeremy Kramer will bring the project to DreamWorks through their Red Hour Prods. shingle.

Red Hour produced the upcoming horror film "The Ruins," as well as "Tropic Thunder," which features Stiller as director and star.

Next up on Stiller's acting plate is "Night at the Museum II: Escape From the Smithsonian."
