Red Hour will produce the animated superhero satire

DreamWorks Animation has picked up the spec script "Master Mind" as a producing vehicle for Ben Stiller.

Written by Alan Schoolcraft and Brent Simons, "Master Mind" is a superhero send-up about a supervillain whose life loses all purpose after he vanquishes his archenemy Uberman.

Stiller and Stuart Cornfeld will produce through their Red Hour Films production shingle.

"They put the film on the fast track, which in animation terms means it will be coming out in the next 15-20 years," Stiller, a veteran of DreamWorks Animation's "Madagascar," kids to The Hollywood Reporter.

The trade paper offers no hints on an actual timetable for the pic, whether it will be computer animated or traditional or whether or not Stiller will take a vocal role in the film.

"Master Mind" will mark the feature directing debut of Cameron Hood and Kyle Jefferson, who have worked on a wide variety of DreamWorks Animation projects including "The Prince of Egypt," "The Road to El Dorado," "Shrek" and "Shark Tale."

Hood and Jefferson made their directing debut on the 2006 short "First Flight."
