Thomas Dekker in talks for horror remake role

He's faced down robot assassins, but now Thomas Dekker may take on a supernatural foe.

Dekker, who plays John Connor in the FOX series " Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles," is in talks to co-star as a jock in the upcoming "Nightmare on Elm Street" remake, according to ShockTillYouDrop.com.

A word of warning to Thomas: Jocks don't last long in these films.

Dekker will be joined by fellow television veteran Kyle Gallner, who co-starred on "Veronica Mars." The 21-year-old will also star this year in the horror flick "From Within."

"Watchmen" star Jackie Earle Haley will play murderous ghost Freddy Krueger.
