Three Movies Go for Six at Spirit Awards
'Rachel Getting Married,' 'Ballast,' 'Frozen River' get six noms each
" Rachel Getting Married," wherein an addict played by Anne Hathaway leaves rehab for her sister's wedding, was joined by suicide drama "Ballast" and immigration tale "Frozen River" in receiving six nominations at this year's Spirit Awards. Each was nominated for the year's best independent film.
Also nominated for best film are "Wendy and Lucy" and the Mickey Rourke vehicle "The Wrestler."
