Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz may team for romantic comedy
Plus, Nicole Kidman joins Woody Allen's latest
The stars are circling a new romantic comedy that would pair Cruise's mysterious, handsome stranger (natch) with unlucky-in-love Diaz, according to Variety.
Height difference be damned, Cruise and Diaz were paired in the 2001 psychological thriller "Vanilla Sky."
Cruise's ex, meanwhile, will work with Woody Allen: Nicole Kidman has signed on for the director's next film, which has no title but does boast a cast including Anthony Hopkins and " Slumdog Millionaire's" Freida Pinto. Allen's "Whatever Works" opens in June. Kidman last starred in 2008's " Australia."
