Red Carpet Rewind: Tongue-tied celebrities

Lately, more and more celebrities have started speaking in tongues.

It's de rigueur to see A-list stars -- Britney Spears, Brad Pitt, "Gossip Girl" guy Ed Westwick , "300" hunk Gerard Butler, supermodel Heidi Klum, popped princess Jessica Simpson -- sticking out their tongues on red carpets and at premiere parties.

What does it all mean, these perverse new Hollywood tongue tricks?

In some cases, a protruding tongue could be simply a playful way to thumb your nose at the paparazzi. Other times, the star could be caught in the middle of a moisturizing lip-licking. And in Megan Fox's case, it's probably a way of telegraphing her overt sexuality to the entire planet, as if she really needs to do that.
