Tina Fey
After three years behind the camera as first a writer, then head writer, on "Saturday Night Live," Fey began her on-screen career as the co-anchor of "Weekend Update" in the 2000-01 season. Her time on "Update" was very well-received -- as was her screenplay for "Mean Girls," in which she co-starred -- but she didn't really blow up until she created "30 Rock." She's now a pop-cultural force, racking up award after award for the series, starring in a series of devastatingly spot-on Sarah Palin sketches during the 2008 campaign and proving herself a pretty solid actress both on TV and in movies ("Baby Mama," the upcoming "Date Night").
