No princesses looking for their princes around here!

Pixar's made big business out of rooting for the most unlikely heroes. Underdogs of the most unusual kind, from a postapocalyptic trash compactor to a buck-toothed tow truck. As talk builds towards a prequel, even a furry blue monster who's job it is/was to scare children, can be made into something of a hero. So we start with "Monster's, Inc."

Who he is: Monster James P. "Sulley" Sullivan, scare technician at "Monsters, Inc." He spends his days scaring little children in order to generate enough scream energy to power Monstropolis.

Why it works: Sulley fits the mold of a reluctant hero. He’s just an average monster, doing his job ... until he's faced with extraordinary circumstances. First he tries desperately to return a little girl named Boo to her family (she followed him into Monstropolis) and when she's kidnapped for experimentation, he won't stand for it.
