Divine on a Dime: Clarence (Henry Travers) is an Angel Second Class sent by head angel Joseph to keep George Bailey from committing suicide over lost money. He does just that by showing Bailey a world without his presence. In perhaps the nicest win/win situation in cinematic history, Clarence gets his promotion and wings and the world gets to keep the kid who got his ear slapped back by the druggist.
