People To Watch

New shows this fall feature folks like Matthew Perry, John Lithgow, James Woods, Ray Liotta, Ted Danson, Jay Hernandez, Anne Heche, Campbell Scott, Calista Flockhart, Donnie Wahlberg, Timothy Hutton and Brad Garrett. Movie stars and familiar TV leads are covering the schedules for every network. That's a good thing for viewers, but it makes it difficult to isolate the season's fresh faces, since nearly everybody is familiar.

So instead of concentrating entirely on the newest "It" boys and girls, our Faces to Watch list isolates some unexpected new series stars, whether it's an Oscar nominee taking a stab at a sitcom, a familiar character actor trying to make a name for himself, or halves of two sets of twins standing on their own in the same show. We like these people and we hope that after a few episodes, you will too.
