What’s It All About? Armed with chef Gordon Ramsay’s reputation for being bold and provocative, this series tackles all things foodie -- with a twist. In each episode, Ramsay and his handpicked brigade of chefs serve a three-course meal to 60 invited guests. Interspersed throughout the meal are side trips that might find the chef and his family on an outing to pick six turkeys that will be plumped up at the Ramsay home, to then be served at Christmas dinner; food critic Giles Coren investigating the true makeup of a “doner kebab” or spending the day with a dumpster-diving “freegan”; or Ramsay promoting his campaign to get women back in the kitchen by going to their homes, dusting off their pans and helping them create a delicious meal. If that weren’t thoroughly entertaining enough, each week Ramsay invites celebrities such as Martine McCutcheon and Joan Collins to dine at the restaurant and -- likely just because it’s Gordon Ramsay making the request -- gets them into the kitchen or working the dining room with the busboys by the end of the evening. Coming from the castigating chef, the series title certainly brings to mind his trademark, colorful language, but Ramsay is quick to chide, “It’s not rude, it’s food!” Anyone who’s watched Hell’s Kitchen needs to tune in to "F Word" to see the charming, family-man side of Ramsay. But make no mistake -- in addition to all the fun, family and food, there’s still plenty of Gordon’s other favorite “F” word.
