Premise: Unlike the film, the series revolved around Ferris (Charlie Schattler) attending -- not ditching -- high school and feuding with his sister Jeannie ( Jennifer Aniston). But was the spinoff too cheeky? During the first episode, Ferris addresses viewers and says that he didnt like the film Ferris Buellers Day Off, nor did he care for Matthew Brodericks portrayal of him. (He takes a chainsaw to a cardboard cutout of Broderick.)
