Zap2it's fourth annual celebration of TV's underrated performers feels like old times.

Last year's list, frankly, was a little bit thin. This year, though shows like "Modern Family," "Glee," "Nurse Jackie" and a host of others made TV a more interesting place, and we had no shortage of good but under-recognized performances from which to choose.

Once again, we followed the guideline that a lead performer in a show, almost by definition, can't be underrated, and we stuck with the no-repeats rule -- once you're called out as underrated, you sort of stop being underrated. It's paradoxical like that.

Congratulations to Ken Leung, Deborah Ann Woll, Yvette Nicole Brown, Mark Salling and the rest of our nominees. You make the shows we like better.
