Gay Characters on Cable TV: 2009-10

The number of gay and lesbian regular characters may have increased on network TV, but the cable landscape is a different story.

Mainstream cable networks (not counting gay-centric networks like Logo and Here!) have actually declined in their representation of regular gay and lesbian characters in the past years.

Regardless of the numbers, there is still a significant representation of the gay community on cable, including family friendly programming, science fiction shows and dramas. Here's a list of the various gay characters on cable.
