WTF? TV Moments 2009: Zap2it's Year in Review

"Late Show" host David Letterman spent about nine minutes detailing how someone had tried to extort $2 million from him by threatening to expose affairs Letterman had had with members of his staff. Dave admitted to the relationships -- he would make an on-air apology to his wife a few days later -- and explained how the blackmail scheme played out. It was a remarkable, and completely unexpected, bit of television.
