Pamela Adlon, 'Californication' and 'King of the Hill'

Pamela Adlon
"Californication," Showtime and "King of the Hill," FOX

You know her as: Eternal pubescent Bobby Hill or sexual explorer Marcie Runkle

Why we like her: For years, Adlon has been one of the industry's most admired vocal talents, winning an Emmy in 2002 for "King of the Hill." But when she escapes the shadow of her inner animated 13-year-old boy, Adlon likes to showcase a different side of her personality. Fans of "Lucky Louie" got a taste of her potentially foul mouth, but that only laid the foundation for her rump-spanking, nipple-ripping, bi-curious, regularly jaw-dropping Marcie on "Californication." Wanna know just how underrated Adlon is? The Showtime press site has nine pictures of Adlon in character and all nine are labeled with an incorrect actress' name.

Where else you've seen her: You've seen her on "Boston Legal," "The Wedding Bells" and "Unscripted" and heard her in everything from "The Oblongs" to "Teacher's Pet" to "Recess."
