Why we like him:
None of the characters on "Damages" was what you would call an unreservedly good person. In that grayest of moral universes, though, Ivanek's Ray Fiske stood out as someone that you might be able to trust. Yes, he represented a bad man (Ted Danson's Arthur Frobisher) on the wrong side of a massive class-action lawsuit. And yes, he was not above the occasional underhanded maneuver. But Ivanek also imbued Ray with a recognizable conscience, and following the character's shocking death "Damages" won't quite be the same.
