Omar Epps, 'House'

Omar Epps
"House," FOX

You know him as: Frequently incredulous Dr. Foreman

Why we like him: Epps is probably one of the most familiar actors on this list. So what makes him underrated? Check out the two-part "Euphoria" arc from last season, featuring a near-death Foreman and his strained interactions with his father (Charles Dutton). Then call your neighborhood Emmy voter and politely inquire as to where Epps' nomination went. Our assumption? Lost in the mail.

Where else you've seen him: Playing baseball in "Major League 2," football in "The Program" and basketball in "Love & Basketball," as well as roles in "Against the Ropes," "Dracula 2000" and "The Wood." He's not underworked, just underrated.
