Oct. 10: President Obama opens for Lady Gaga
At the Human Rights Campaign National Dinner, President Obama opened his speech by joking, "It's a privilege to be here tonight to open for Lady Gaga. I've made it."
Are people really more excited to see Lady Gaga perform than hear the president give a speech? We certainly hope not. But we give President Obama -- and his speechwriters -- kudos for opening with a decent joke.
