Sept. 23: Glenn Beck boils a frog on live television
Hyper-talking head Glenn Beck has never been known for his restraint, but he may have made a new enemy in PETA (and animal lovers everywhere). During a Fox News segment on President Obama's health-care initiative, Beck tried to make a point by theorizing that a frog will jump out of boiling water (because, well, it hurts) but will placidly go to its death in a pot of room-temp water where the heat is slowly increased. Beck then threw a live(?) frog into a pot of boiling water. Guess what? It didn't jump out. If it was live, it was in terribly bad taste. If it was faked, then double the WTF? since the whole exercise was pointless.
