It was fascinating last season to see the Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and Derek (Patrick Dempsey) team up on a clinical trial to find a new method of removing previously inoperable brain tumors. A trial that killed one patient after another, week after week.
Yeah, we need more of that stuff. We still see operations, but a little more focus on the residents' training and how hard it is would help balance out the soapy personal dramas.
