Feb. 12: Three out of four ain't bad
An otherwise flawlessly executed opening ceremony at the Winter Olympics hit a rather large snag at the worst possible moment: When it came time to light the Olympic cauldron, one of the supporting arms failed to rise out of the floor. Wayne Gretzky, Steve Nash and their fellow torch-bearers eventually went ahead and lit the flame, but the resulting awkward visual (and awkward commentary from NBC hosts Bob Costas and Matt Lauer) marred the moment somewhat.
