'Bionic Woman'
Bionic Woman
NBC
Premieres: Wednesday, Sept. 26
Airs: Wednesdays at 9 p.m.
Television has been good to central female characters that kick ass. "Bionic Woman" Jaime Sommers gets new life in this refreshing take brought to us by the producers of "Battlestar Galactica," another successful reimagined property. This update promises slick, high-tech action, intricate conspiracies, gritty realism and good-looking women going mano a mano. Michelle Ryan grounds her newly enhanced character with an approachable quality as a woman who is responsible for her younger sister (Lucy Hale) and has dreams of a future with her guy (Chris Bowers), who, to her surprise, heads up a secret bionics program that changes her life forever. Producers were smart to land Katee Sackhoff for a recurring role as a rogue bionic subject named Sarah Corvus, who is cool in very snide yet intriguing way.
