It's rare that we watch a pilot and can't think of several things that we'd like to see tweaked or redone. "Pushing Daisies," though, arrives fully formed as probably the best new show of the 2007-08 season. And, OK, there's one thing we'd change: The narration is a bit over - cooked, and we could do with a little less of it. But everything else, we love. Admittedly, the premise -- guy's touch brings dead people back to life, until he touches them again and they die again, and oh yeah, he just brought his long-lost love back to life, which means he can never touch her again -- is a little bit out there. But as realized by creator Bryan Fuller and director Barry Sonnenfeld, who provides an extraordinary visual palette, "Pushing Daisies" is a touching, funny, captivating piece of television. We only hope that enough others think so not to make it the doomed cult show of 2007-08.
