Disney buys Marvel
On the business side, it made sense. Disney gets thousands of new, but familiar, characters to mine for any number of projects. And despite the fact that Marvel was doing OK, selling to Disney opens up film distribution avenues and access to funds that the comic book company may not have had available. As long as Disney doesn't dip its hands into the publishing arm too much, things should go well. HIT
