Zap2it's 2007 Guilty Pleasures: Dinner: Impossible
Food Network

I like Anthony Bourdain, but not even his sneering dismissal of chef Robert Irvines catering challenges could keep me from tuning into Dinner: Impossible. The British bruiser general meets each new challenge (Ice hotel? Chill out. Spelling bee? Easy as A,B,C.) with remarkable optimism and practicality, but I admit its the curveballs (spoiled meat from a broken refrigeration truck, impending rain) that give me the most thrills, especially when his face reveals his desperation and stress. Its a preposterous premise, but Irvine grounds it and always delivers the multi-course gourmet meal in the allotted time.
