The Big Bang Theory

Nerds are funny. Kaley Cuoco is hot. What more do you want?
When a ditzy bombshell (Cuoco) moves into the apartment across the hall from two physicists (Johnny Galecki and Jim Parsons), complications ensue. See, they're rocket scientists and she's no rocket scientist. On the other hand, she probably has sex occasionally. Them? Not so much.
What They Got Right:
Chuck Lorre brought CBS its biggest comedy hit ("Two and a Half Men") and the three leads aren't unappealing.
What's Oh, So Wrong:
There's a difference between writing smart dialogue and dialogue for smart people. The "Big Bang Theory" is stuck 100% in the realm of stereotypes. The nerds drink juice boxes, can't talk to girls and love Stephen Hawking DVDs. The bimbo parades around in short-shorts, dates muscle-bound bullies and babbles about astrology. And some of the situations in the pilot -- her shower is broken, so she has to use... THEIRS! -- haven't been dusted off since "Three's Company."
Recommended If ...:
The words "big bang" make you giggle like a school girl.
